Two new stories!

That’s right. I’ve got two new pieces recently released.

If you’re looking for something short, try “Sunset Like a Dying Fire,” over on NewMyths.com. “Sunset” is a story I first wrote in 2015, and then re-wrote more than a year later. It’s been making the rounds for a while, and I’m thrilled it finally found a home at NewMyths. It’s flash fiction piece, so it will only take you a few minutes, and it’s got luxurious descriptions, terrible, beautiful fairies, and hard choices that may or may not be altruistic.

If you’ve got time for something longer, “A Circle of Steel and Bone” is out in the latest issue of Beneath Ceaseless Skies. It is the first of four pieces I’ve sold to this excellent venue to come out, and I think it’s very interesting, with something for fantasy fans or history buffs. “Circle” is a murder/monster mystery set during the Northern Crusade, in 13th Century Prussia. It’s got religion, ethics, bodies, politics, and an epic tower-top fight scene. If you’ve got half an hour sometime, give it a read.

This post is short, and congrats if you catch it while it’s up, in a day or two, my 2018 awards eligibility post will take over the front page.
